Jackson, the Iron-Willed Commander Review

Andrew Jackson, The Iron-Willed Commander, is an extraordinary book! I knew he was the 7th President of the United States of America but wow, what I found out about his life is incredible. This book covers his life from start to finish. From the time he was orphaned at 15 to how both his brothers were killed, and then how He became one of the greatest Generals that ever walked the face of this earth! It shows you the Andrew Jackson as a sophiscated young lawyer and also how he met, fell in love, and eventually married the beautiful and sweet Rachel Donelson. This book actually covers some of the sweetest and heart-wrenching letters and prayers that Jackson wrote to Rachel while he was at war. Some may not know this but Jackson was involved in more than one duel. During one of them He was shot in the chest, just a couple inches from his heart but Old Hickory stood firm and raised his gun and shot and killed his adversary. Andrew Jackson was amazing General and war hero. He even got the name Old Hickory for being so tough. Of course this book, Jackson; The Iron-Willed Commander, expels the story of the Battle of New Orleans and how Old Hickory became an American Icon! From his orphaned childhood to his youthful lawyer days, raging warrior to Commander in Chief, Andrew Jackson was a true American Hero!
